Job Description - Lead Teacher 2-Year-Olds
Kids Galaxy Learning Center is a daycare for 6 weeks to age 5 in San Antonio, TX. We are creative, engaging, supportive and our goal is to provide a safe and loving environment for children that fosters learning, growing, and having fun!

Lead Teacher
**We are closed for most government holidays, including November 24&25. December 25-Jan 1st**
We are looking for a teacher who has a passion for teaching with children. Working with little ones requires someone who is patient, kind, and compassionate. We will provide training and instruction to help set you up for success in your classroom. Our director has created a curriculum, so you don't have to!
Duties:
- Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and curriculum (lesson plans provided)- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children- Supervise and engage children in educational activities- Foster social, emotional, and cognitive development through play and structured learning- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive learning environment- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to parents/guardians- Maintain accurate records of attendance, behavior, and academic performance- Communicate effectively with director regarding their child's development and progress- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities
Requirements:
- High school degree or equivalent- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with children in a daycare or educational setting- Knowledge of child welfare regulations and best practices- Strong understanding of child development principles- Ability to implement engaging lesson plans that meet educational objectives- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)- Background check with Finger printing required
